How do we teach art? That's a thoroughly interdisciplinary question. The Amsterdam School of the Arts established the cross-departmental Lectoraat Kunsteducatie (Art Education Research) to conduct practice-oriented research in the field of art education. The lectorate focuses on social engagement and interdisciplinarity, both between art disciplines and between art and non-art disciplines.
The result is a book series in which these connections are made tangible; art—education, theory—practice, theory—art etc.
